We want guests, pets and everyone staying at the park to have an enjoyable visit.

If you're bringing a dog:

Dogs are welcome on selected powered and non-powered camping sites.
Please let us know that you're bringing a dog when booking.
Dogs must be well behaved.
Dogs must remain supervised.
Dogs must be kept under control and on a lead while within the holiday park.
Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets.
Dogs must not disturb other guests.
Pets are not permitted inside cabins or motel units.
Please contact reception if you have any questions before arriving.

Te Awa Kairangi / Hutt River Trail

The Hutt River Trail provides kilometres of riverside walking through the Hutt Valley and is easily accessible from the Upper Hutt area.

It's ideal for a morning walk before heading out for the day or for enjoying a longer walk with your dog.

Dog-access rules vary along the trail. Dogs may be exercised off lead on permitted sections when under control, while leads are required on stop-bank paths, sealed shared pathways and other signposted areas.

Please follow current signs and local council requirements when walking your dog.

Te Haukāretu Park and Riverside Area

Dog poo bag dispensers are located around Harcourt Park, along with conveniently placed rubbish bins for disposing of used bags.
